Junonia Ltd., the St. Paul, Minnesota-based catalog for plus size active
fashions, announces its new chloroban swimwear collection.
Trend-setting baby boomers are continuing their active lifestyles, even
when age and child-bearing may have added a few extra pounds. Swimming
is one of the best and most popular workouts, especially for someone
with a weight issue or just starting out. And it is an important
cross-training activity for any sport. However, one of the biggest
irritations for regular swimmers is swimsuits that inevitably breakdown
in chlorine.
"Our new Chloroban line has been incredibly popular. Because these suits
have no spandex, they don't deteriorate in chlorine. This has great
value to our customers," says Anne Kelly, founder of the company. The
new chloroban fabric made from extra-stretch polyester has a
wonderful fit not previously found in non-spandex swimwear.
"Our Chloroban line has an incredible fit. The fabric is very
comfortable, stretchy and the colors are fun," notes Junonia's Senior
Fit Specialist Karina Nichols who designed the new Chloroban suits.
Using a size 18 fit model, rather than the industry's standard size 8,
Junonia's clothing solves problems unique to larger women. The company's
swimsuits have an elegant appeal that fit and flatter the full-figured
woman. They incorporate special design elements such as unique
crossbacks with fuller coverage, extra support and easy on/off style.
"Our research showed that larger women want the benefits of high-tech
fabrics," says Bill Kennedy, Director of Merchandise for Junonia. "Our
Chloroban swimsuits are among our best sellers. They are hard to find on
the market in any size, but especially in sizes larger than 14."
One of Junonia's customers, Natalie C., writes, "My water aerobics chums
were all excited to hear about your website! They were especially
interested in the swimsuit that I bought with the chloroban content.
Many commented that their suits with 'no-chlorine breakdown' content had
'broken down' and so they were pumped to hear about your site. Thank you
very much for providing such a great product."
The eight-year-old Junonia catalog takes its name from Roman goddess
Juno, protectress of women. She is depicted in art as a woman of
majestic size and beauty.
