Golfing on the Jersey Cape
Cape May, The Wildwoods, Stone Harbor, Avalon and Ocean City. All within driving distance to some of the best golf courses in the Mid-Atlantic region - the perfect spots for families who have one or more golfers in their midst.
Public golf courses located in Cape May County include: Avalon Country Club, Cape May National Golf Course, Ocean City Municipal Golf Course, Ponderlodge Golf Course and The Sand Barrons Golf Club, which has been named one of the "Top Ten New Courses in America" by Golf Magazine.
Public golf courses in nearby Atlantic County include: Blue Heron Pines, Brigantine Golf Links, Buena Vista Country Club, Greate Golf Club, May's Landing Golf Club and Pomona Golf and Country Club.
Cohanzik Country Club and Eastlyn Golf Club are public courses just a short drive away in Cumberland County.
There are also private and semi-private golf courses in the area, such as the Wildwood Golf and Country Club and Stone Harbor Country Club, which are available for play by members of clubs belonging to the Philadelphia Golf Association.
There are nine-hole golf courses in the area, including the B.L. England Golf Course in Beesley's Point at the northern tip of Cape May County, Latona Golf Club in Buena and The Pines at Clermont Golf Club in Clermont.
The Wildwoods' immense beach serves as a superb practice area for the ever-troubling technique of playing sand traps. After sunbathing and swimming hours (typically 5pm), it is common to see golfers practicing their sand-wedge play on the beach.
